Hi Willow Forum,

My name is Claire and have just joined. I live in Bradford but am hoping to move to Sheffield soon.

I have 2 boys Munchkin and Thomas, I would post a pic but I am struggling with the IT bit at the mo.

Can anyone who is out there say hello and tell me a bit more about you guys?

Yes, I am Nic and the dog in my photo is Buddy, my 18 month old staffy cross. But I have two other pooches aswell - Wallace who's 15 yrs old and is a golden retriever and Bella who's 13 months old and is a Willow rescue dog! Its very busy in my house, although a few others on here are daft enough to have three dogs so its not just me!

Not too sure what you mean Nic - you were thinking about your 4th last week

Cool Munchkin is a cross staffy but he does not look like Buddy!!!! He's 5 and looks like a mini staff. Then I got his half brother Thomas 6 months later, I had to take him at 3 weeks old so just expected him to be another Munchkinz. He's not. He's like a giant Lurcher!!

Do you guys all fundraise/walk dogs/ stay in touch after you have a rescued a pup

Constant nightmare with my giddy two...

Yeah, Julie is the Charity Chairperson, Sarah is the Charity Secretary and the rest of us volunteer in our own little way.

On the first sunday of every month we have a social dog walk where we all get together and take our dogs for a walk. We also try to get all of the rescue dogs there.

So how many dogs can you house at one time? I can't believe that dogs get killed at the pound after 7 days.

We are only small so we say no more than 2 in the kennels at any one time due to the cost. Although we don't always stick to this.

At the moment we have 3 dogs that need a home - Charlie and Bruce are in the kennels and Mia is in a foster home. Only a couple of weeks ago we had 5 dogs up for rehoming though so it varies.

The rather cute profile pic is of Billy, our Willow rescue pup. He is about 6 months old and was found at 5 weeks after being dumped in a box by some woods He was very ill with sarcoptic mange when he was found, but Julie nursed him back to health We have had him since he was 10 weeks old and he is certainly a little charmer, just ask Nic

We have a great time on our monthly walks, hope you can join us sometime.

hi did you mean maddie walking on the lead? if so she is jekyll and hyde .with my hubby she is brilliant she walks calmly by his side with me she is terrible pulling ,chewing the lead so guess who gets the job every day.

We are only a small charity at the moment Claire so theres not that many of us, but we are always working hard to raise funds and we are proud of what we've achieved over the past twelve months!

When you move to Sheffield you will have to come and join us on our social monthly dogwalk - we have a great time and so do the pooches. We try to socialise as friends aswell whenever we can, cos despite all the sarcasm and mickey taking on here, we actually like each other really!
